Intel công bố chip nhớ 128 Gigabit với mật độ lưu trữ tăng gấp đôi

Nhiều khả năng trong năm 213 sẽ có một thế hệ iPhone với dung lượng lên tới 128GB.

Intel và hãng Micron vừa cho ra mắt chip nhớ NAND 128 Gb (Gigabit) đầu tiên sử dụng tiến trình 20 nm. Công nghệ chip nhớ flash NAND là công nghệ bộ nhớ được sử dụng trong smartphone, máy tính bảng và ổ SSD. Hiện nay, chip NAND lớn nhất trên thị trường chỉ chứa được 64 Gb dữ liệu, tương đương 8 GB. Intel cho biết với công nghệ mới, họ có thể lưu trữ 128 Gb trên 1 đế chip, tương đương 16 GB. Hãng sản xuất bộ xử lý này cũng cho biết sẽ sản xuất chip NAND đại trà vào nửa đầu năm 2012. 


Bên cạnh việc giúp tăng dung lượng, chip NAND mới của Intel cũng sẽ cho tốc độ nhanh hơn. Cấu hình giao diện ONFi (Open NAND Flash Interface) phiên bản 2.0 cho tốc độ tối đã 200 megatransfer/giây (200 MT/giây). Các chip 128 Gb mới sử dụng ONFi phiên bản 3.0 cho tốc độ 333 MT/giây (1 megatransfer = 1 triệu đơn vị dữ liệu mỗi giây).
