Intel vừa công bố mẫu chip cao cấp Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition cho tốc độ xung nhịp là 3,,4 GHz nhưng có thể ép xung lên tới 5,6GHz.

Intel vừa công bố mẫu chip cao cấp Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition cho tốc độ xung nhịp là 3,4 GHz nhưng có thể ép xung lên tới 5,6GHz. Bên cạnh đó, công ty này cũng cho ra mắt loại chipset mới  X79 Express.
 
Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition là chip 6 nhân, có 12 luồng xử lý, bộ nhớ đệm 15 MB. Tuy nhiên, người dùng muốn nâng cấp bộ xử lý mới có thể sẽ thất vọng với socket LGA 2011 mới của Intel.
 
Ngoài ra, Intel cũng công bố 2 chip mới là Core i7-3930K tốc độ 3,2 GHz và Core i7-3820 4 nhân tốc độ 3,6 GHz. (Có bộ nhớ đệm lần lượt là 12 MB và 10 MB và có thể ép xung lên 3,8 GHz và 3,9 GHz).
 
Mọi nhu cầu của người sử dụng đều có thể được đáp ứng từ con chip mới của Intel mà hãng hứa hẹn sẽ tăng hiệu suất 20% xử lý video và 14% hiệu suất xử lý hình ảnh 3D. Cả 3 chip này đều có TDP 130W. Mức giá sản phẩm của ASUS vẫn chưa được công bố, trong khi sản phẩm i7-3960X của Intel có giá 990 USD (~20 triệu) và i7-3930K có giá 555 USD (~12 triệu đồng). i7-3820 sẽ chỉ được đặt giá khi chính thức ra mắt thị trường vào Q1 năm 2012.
