Atom Medfield đạt 10.500 điểm với Caffeinemark 3.

Như chúng ta đã biết cách đây không lâu, Intel vừa hé lộ về kế hoạch tham gia thị trường chip cho thiết bị di động với vi xử lý Medfield được sản xuất trên tiến trình 32 nm. Và vừa qua, điểm benchmark của bộ xử lý này vừa được hé lộ. Khi thử nghiệm với Caffeinemark 3, chip Tegra 2 đạt 7.500 điểm, Snapdragon MSM8260 đạt 8.000 và Atom Medfield đạt 10.500 (điểm càng cao hiệu năng càng cao). Với kết quả này, Medfield hứa hẹn sẽ là đối thủ của Tegra 2 của Nvidia và Snapdragon MSM8260 của Qualcomm. Tuy nhiên, lượng điện năng tiêu thụ của Medfield có vẻ khá cao. Chip tiêu thụ 2,6 Watt ở chế độ nhàn rỗi và lên 3,6 Watt với chế độ tải nặng.


Đây là điểm benchmark sau khi thử nghiệm với mẫu máy tính bảng dùng chip Medfield kiến trúc x86 tốc độ 1,6 GHz. Mẫu tablet này có kích thước 10,1 inch phân giải 1280 x 800 pixel, RAM LP-DDR2 dung lượng 1 GB cùng các kết nối cơ bản như  Bluetooth, Wi-fi. Hệ điều hành được sử dụng là Android Honeycomb 3.0. Tuy nhiên, đây chỉ là sản phẩm thử nghiệm và các tablet sau này sẽ được trang bị Ice Cream Sandwich. Thông tin chi tiết sẽ được Intel công bố tại CES sắp tới.
