AMD chính thức tung ra thế hệ chip Trinity APU dành cho thị trường laptop: Vẫn thua Intel?

Đúng như các thông tin trước đây, hôm nay AMD đã chính thức giới thiệu dòng chip APU A-Series mới của mình, có tên mã Trinity, chỉ dành cho laptop. Các model Trinity mới đem lại hiệu năng cao hơn nhưng vẫn tiết kiệm điện hơn đàn anh Llano, mặc dù cùng chung tiến trình bán dẫn 32nm do Global Foundries sản xuất.


Theo các kết quả benchmark của AnandTech, sức mạnh CPU (x86) của Trinity vẫn kém hơn đối thủ Ivy Bridge (IvB - 22nm) và thậm chí là Sandy Bridge (SnB - 32nm) của Intel, song về căn bản Trinity vẫn nhanh hơn Llano.


Còn khi so năng lực đồ hoạ, Trinity dẫn đầu tuyệt đối, bỏ xa các đối thủ lẫn đàn anh 32nm.


Về thời lượng dùng pin, trong bối cảnh chỉ dùng để duyệt web, Trinity tốt hơn cả Llano (cùng 32nm) và chỉ kém các model SnB nhưng được trang bị cục pin có dung lượng cao hơn. So với IvB, Trinity thậm chí "xanh" hơn ở cùng mức pin (56 Wh).


Trinity cho laptop hiện đã được AMD phân phối đến các nhà sản xuất PC lớn trên thế giới và sẽ sớm đến tay người tiêu dùng trong nay mai. Envy Sleekbook của HP là dòng ultrabook tiêu biểu hiện đã trang bị con chip APU mới nhất từ AMD.
