Trung bình cơ thể con người gồm có 60 nghìn tỉ tế bào. Mỗi tế bào tuy nhỏ bé nhưng đều bận rộn tất bật với công việc và chức năng của riêng mình: Hồng Cầu giúp vận chuyển Oxi, Tiểu Cầu giúp làm đông máu.
Khi con người bị thương, virus và vi khuẩn sẽ nhanh chóng xâm nhập vào cơ thể, và khi dị ứng bắt đầu lan tỏa, tất cả các tế bào sẽ nhường chỗ cho Bạch Cầu và Tế Bào nơron thần kinh để họ làm nhiệm vụ tiêu diệt kẻ xâm nhập. Hataraku Saibou (tên tiếng Anh: Cells the Work!) là bộ Manga khắc họa hình ảnh của các tế bào ấy dưới hình ảnh trai xinh, gái đẹp.
