Oscilloscope là chiếc máy hiện sóng được sử dụng trong ngành điện tử và thiết kế mạch. Tuy nhiên, Oscilloscope lại được coi là chiếc máy chơi game đầu tiên trên thế giới với trò chơi Tennis for Two (1958).
 
Nhằm kỷ niệm sinh nhật lần thứ 25 của tựa game nổi tiếng The Legend of Zelda, nhóm Flashing LEDs đã nẩy ra ý tưởng kết nối máy chơi game cầm tay Game Boy vào máy hiện sóng Oscilloscope thành... NintendOscope nhằm biến những vạch sóng vô tri thành những hình ảnh trò chơi sống động.
