Vài tuần sau khi Apple cho phép các hacker sử dụng thông tin trong bản iOS 5.0.1 để đưa Siri lên các sản phẩm khác, giờ đây nhóm Chpwn đã tạo nên được 1 ứng dụng cho phép người dùng iPhone đã jailbreak sử dụng Siri.

Vài tuần sau khi Apple cho phép các hacker sử dụng thông tin trong bản iOS 5.0.1 để đưa Siri lên các sản phẩm khác, giờ đây nhóm Chpwn đã tạo nên được 1 ứng dụng cho phép người dùng iPhone đã jailbreak sử dụng Siri. Ứng dụng này mang tên Spire và có tại Cydia của Big Boss repo và tương thích với iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs, iPod Touch gen 3, gen 4 và iPad gen 1. Bạn nên cài đặt Spire qua Wi-Fi bởi Spire sẽ tải về khoảng 100MB dữ liệu.
 

 

Đây vẫn chưa phải là 1 giải pháp hoàn chỉnh bởi Siri vẫn cần thông tin từ  iPhone 4S để có thể hoạt động được. Spire vượt qua được rào cản này bằng cách cho phép người dùng thêm vào 1 server proxy. Hiện đang có 1 số server proxy miễn phí được cung cấp, hoặc bạn có thể mượn thông tin token từ người sử dụng iPhone 4S. Rất có thể Chpwn sẽ lập 1 server proxy riêng cho Spire, nhưng bạn sẽ phải trả phí để sử dụng.
