Thế hệ vi xử lý sử dụng nền tảng ARM Cortex-A15.

Samsung vừa đưa ra cấu hình chi tiết cho Exynos 5 Dual, thế hệ SoC kế tiếp hai nhân xử lí và chạy ở xung nhịp 1,7GHz. Đây cũng là chip đầu tiên trên thế giới sử dụng nền tảng ARM Cortex-A15. Con chip Exynos 5250 này được sản xuất trên dây chuyền công nghệ 32nm HKMG.

Exynos 5 Dual sử dụng GPU Mali-T604, thế hệ kế tiếp của Mali-T600 sở hữu những thông số kỹ thuật ấn tượng. Mali-T604 hỗ trợ OpenGL ES 3.0, OpenCL 1.1 và thậm chí là DirectX 11. Nhờ vậy mà GPU này có thể chạy được cả Windows 8. Bên cạnh đó, Mali-T604 còn hỗ trợ độ phân giải tối đa lên đến WQXGA (2560×1600 pixel), cho phép hiển thị ảnh 3D stereoscopic (hai hình đặt cạnh nhau để tạo hiệu ứng nổi). Không những thế, Exynos 5 Dual còn hỗ trợ PSR mode giảm đến 20 lần việc tiêu tốn năng lượng khi hiển thị những hình ảnh tĩnh, từ đó giảm đáng kể điện năng tiêu thụ cho màn hình "khủng" 2560x1600 điểm ảnh.

Exynos 5 Dual được Samsung tích hợp sẵn bộ điều khiển USB 3.0, SATA III nên sẽ giúp tăng tốc độ truy xuất cho thiết bị. Sử dụng RAM 800MHz LPDDR3, vượt trội hơn so với RAM 500MHz LPDDR2 của Snapdragon S4. Về mặt băng thông lý thuyết thì RAM trên Exynos 5 Dual hỗ trợ đến 12,8GBps giúp tốc độ xử lý trên toàn hệ thống được nhanh hơn. Nhân xử lí Cortex-A15 sản xuất trên tiến trình High K Metal Gate Process (HKMGP) cũng góp phần nâng cao khả năng xử lí cho Exynos 5 Dual.
