Nếu Apple giữ thời gian sản xuất lâu như iPhone 3GS.

Theo thông lệ, cứ mỗi thế hệ điện thoại iPhone mới ra đời, Apple lại bán được số lượng sản phẩm mới bằng tổng số lượng của các dòng điện thoại trước cộng lại. Nếu cũng tính theo quy trình này, doanh số chiếc điện thoại iPhone 5 sắp tới sẽ khủng khiếp đến mức nào?

Nhà phân tích Horace Dediu đưa ra dự đoán rằng cho dù doanh số bán ra của chiếc điện thoại thế hệ mới nhất sắp tới của Apple không bằng tổng doanh số của các thế hệ trước cộng lại nhưng sản phẩm iPhone 5 cũng có thể đạt cột mốc ấn tượng vào khoảng 170 triệu thiết bị bán ra trong 4 Quý đầu tiên.

Dediu cũng bổ sung rằng nếu Apple giữ thời gian sản xuất iPhone 5 lâu như thời gian áp dụng cho iPhone 3GS, doanh số bán ra của sản phẩm điện thoại thế hệ mới nhất có thể đạt đến mức 200 triệu thiết bị. Sau đó, nếu Táo Khuyết duy trì được tốc độ tăng trưởng này thì con số 250 triệu thiết bị bán ra là một mục tiêu có thể đạt được dễ dàng.
